ME Super*

ABOUT

WHO — WHAT — WHEN

I live in one of the most beautiful and polluted areas in Europe.

Development vs. conservation. Progress vs. pollution. Welfare vs. exploitation. Man’s relationship with the environment is made of complicated compromises and nonsensical behaviors. My personal photographic projects investivate the relationship between urbanization, anthropization and environmental issues.

I am fashinated by all that chaos and I’m curious to see how it will end. I see photography as a tool for researching, understanding, learning.

Something done.

In 2008 my personal photographic exhibition Sabotage opened at Galleria Browning, Asolo. Later, Altevie Technologies published Anni Luce, a book of 150+ portraits shoot by me.
In 2009 I’ve been commissioned to create the photographic campaing Falsa Testimonianza for Comodamente, festival of contemporary culture.

In 2010, with other nice people I founded Landscape Stories, an online magazine of contemporary photography. My photographic project Cemento Volante was exhibited in Milan at the Settimana della Comunicazione. The book Cansiglio Lichtung e Faghere was published.

In 2011 I was involved in the photograhic documentation of RAVE East Village Artist Residency with Adrian Paci as Artist in residence.  Two books published with works by Adrian Paci and 12 international contemporary artists during the residency workshops.

In 2012 I was one of the starters of Vulcano — Contemporary Productions Unit — with other bizarre creatives, artists and curators. With them, I was at RAVE Residency with Bulgarian artist Ivan Moudov.

In 2013 I was among the photographers selected for an investigation into the phenomenon of the crisis in the north-east region of Italy at the photographic residence “Investigazioni Private” coordinated by Francesco Jodice at the Fondazione Francesco Fabbri.

In 2014 I’m participating in two different exhibitions. ♦ The photo exhibition “Cansiglio, the future of our roots”, oriented towards protection of Cansiglio Forest, promotes initiatives that aim to make it a natural park connected to the National Park of the Belluno Dolomites and the Dolomites – Unesco World Heritage. ♦ The photo exhibition “Private Investigations“, a working group that developed the theme of the crisis, education, sustainability, production models and their impact on the landscape, and opens a debate through the images produced during the workshop coordinated by Francesco Jodice at Casa Fabbri.

In 2015 I held a conference about “Rage and Anger in Photography” at Museu Es Baluard in Palma de Mallorca – Spain, during the international seminar “Literatura y Pecato”. I also exhibited a personal work about anger: see project here.

In 2016 I exhibited a photographic project for Seminario Internacional Literatura y Pecado in Palma de Mallorca. More soon! ♦ I self published a booklet featuring the photographic project “IRA”, plus texts, graphic works and limited edition prints in a very limited edition of 25 copies.

Side Projects

Landscape Stories
In 2010, along with Gianpaolo Arena and Andrea Gaio, I founded the magazine of contemporary photography Landscape Stories. A thematic quarterly edition that collects the most interesting photo projects of contemporary photographers from around the world. Thanks to its monographic innovative formula, in a short time LS has become a benchmark in the world of photography with the participation of internationally renowned photographers, curators, translators and friends. LS is read by over 30,000 visitors each month. Enjoy great photography here: www.landscapestories.net

Taiabati

With the name Taiabati I develop graphic design artworks and editorial projects. I’m in love with the International Typographic Style. I consider Adrian Frutiger and Matthew Carter among the most important intellectuals in the field of graphic design. But if I were to suggest the perfect book, in terms of typography, it would probably be the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili. In recent years I have designed logos, graphics, infographics, layouts and web sites for companies, magazines, corporations, institutions and professionals. Site coming soon!
